Today is Monday of Week 5, which marks almost the half-way point through the entire school year. I am almost half done with the last year of my entire college career. Crazy.

This was supposedly supposed to be a easier slash more “chill” quarter, but I don’t think I’ve felt this busy in a while. The combination of night shifts for work and night shifts for school have filled up more than half my weeks for this entire quarter. As of next week, I’ll have two full days of class and three back-to-back night shifts starting the day after. Yowch!

After the end of February, I might end up looking a bit like this:

The two hardest things about having graveyard shifts is one) staying awake throughout the night. It’s hardest around 2am-5am…sometimes my eyelids feel like they’re 10 lbs each and two) staying alert the day after. Even though I get a few hours of sleep in between shifts, I wake up and crawl to my desk and feel like this:

or:

but with a little bit of coffee, jumping jacks and a short prayer, It’s amazing how energized I feel! :) So thankful for the strength God gives me to get through everyday one day at a time.

I just spent two hours trying to find a strategic way to print out my 300+ slides on as few sheets of paper as possible.

and now it is time to study.

I think I will go to Kean tomorrow! Yipeeeee

Simple things I’m thankful for today:

21. Warm Baguettes

22. Treadmills

23. Packages from the mail

24. The smell of new books

25. A beautiful sunshiney walk to class

26. Vulnerable, open heart-to-heart talks in small group

27. Being guarded by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Phil 4:7)
