Today was such a sweet and wonderful day. Today was the day of my final and the final due date of my paper, and now I am done with that for life.. Hooray! There are so many things to be joyful about, so much to be thankful for!

Here are just a few..

1) Tracy

Today was the first day of finals week and it was also Tracy’s 22nd birthday.
Tracy’s birthday always falls on finals week, but we had our own way of celebrating.

First, we rushed her Lab Report due at 5:00. We left our apartment at 4:41 and drove to campus. We parked beside the building and Tracy walked out of the car at 4:56. and we made it. We celebrated afterwards.. in the car

Tracy walking to turn in her paper, hooray!

Later that night our CCM class had a prayer meeting (after about a year!) and it was a sweet time of fellowship, sharing, laughs, buy 1 get 1 free deals of chick-filet and prayer. Twas a sweet, sweet time indeed. God has surely been so good to us.

Tracy is my roommate, and I am so thankful for her. This year would’ve been so different without her sweet presence in our home, her busy desk space adjacent to mine, and her daily encouragement to me. I love her!

2) Eugene

I’m thankful for Eugene every single day. I’m so excited that I’m going to marry my best friend. Eugene is sweet, but he’s thoughtful too!

Made me snacks while I was studying for finals :) Tooooo cute. He’s my fave.

3) Books

So a nearby Borders is closing down so all their books are 30-50% off. Yesterday me and Eugene went to go study there after church, but it was absolute chaos. Books dissheveled everywhere, books on the floor, people carrying baskets full of books they would have never bought unless it was at least 30% off the original price.

We were so sad that it was closing, but took advantage of the sale and bought two books that I probably wouldn’t have purchased at the original price :) Got both of these for 30% off (woot, woot!)

Way too detailed, and a little confusing— but a helpful guideline to quick planning

I love cookbooks!

I’m a lover of lists and to-do’s… so recipes and cook books are my favorite. As fun as it is being adventurous with cooking (at times), I find it comforting and extremely helpful to have guidelines, and lists and a few straightforward how-to’s. I’ve been looking online these days for healthy recipes, as I need to prepare to make 2-3 home-made meals a day after we marry.. so this book was an excellent find.

I went through a few of the pages today to bookmark a few that I wanted to try.

As you can see I got a little bit ambitious. :)

Eugene & I are visiting our first venue this Thursday and meeting with the coordinator there. We’re reaaaally hoping that we like this place and that we can work with these people so we can get a place/time set for our wedding. Ahh! We’ll see how that goes ..

and now I sleep.

with a thankful heart

and a warm smile on my face.

Give thanks- mornings with ash, emails, cookbooks, prayers, tracy, ccm seniors, Jesus
